Wood Ointment Cup. Used by the Senefou people as a measure for liquids and ointments. This item is painstakingly hand carved in traditional African style. African name "chapalo" is actually a Bambara word for an alcoholic drink. The measure is often used for measuring out these drinks. 11" tall x 4" wide. Comes in a variety of carved styles. Male and female figures make a perfect set. Made in Ivory Coast
