About Hand Woven Nigerian Asoke Fabric

Asoke is a strong fabric worn by the Yoruba people of Nigeria. The luxurious material is worn for special occasions. When making this Asoke fabric, each strip is woven and bound together that creates an uneven looking weave. A variety of patterns and colors are used and includes many other types of material such as cotton, polyester and silk. Full size pieces 53” x 80”. Made in Nigeria. M-F090

Each piece is different, no two are alike. Exact colors and designs cannot be requested or guaranteed.

The availability of color selection is a huge negative on this particular fabric class, hence the Nigerian Asoke Fabric. Please improve sales by making this option available both in the catalogs as well as online. Blind orders can be both confusing and costly. Thanks for your input, especially towards any improvement.

I purchased two pieces, one was beautiful blue with silver threads the other was nice but dull and dirty. I would like to choose a color range rather than take whatever is available. Also, please look at the product that you import, there are stains on the pieces. Also, cleaning instructions for the textiles would be helpful.
